I read the whole thing and not once did he sound someone who put the interest of a specific region before another. Plus, (according to today's Somali situation and tribal mentality) his family is from that region (as I read from the net) and I think he has every right to analyze the politics of that region.

I do not know because I do not follow the politics back home and only made that ^^^^^ observation based on the articles published on the given site.

Secondly, it depends on his merit and where he stands on certain issues. Plus, I didn't hear that he held any government position in Puntland so I do not see where I can make any comparison (i.e. which one he would favor).

Anyway, to the point. Blame Farmaajo for not helping his people, not Cabdiweli - Cabdiweli is not in Xamar to help nor hurt Marexaan or Gedo. Cabdiweli is in Xamar for no one other than Puntland. He doesn't give a shit about Hutus, nor Xamar, nor this TFG, he just wants Puntland to thrive, that's all. Again, blame Farmaajo for being a naive rookie in a full-contact sport. Everyone is their for their own interests. Abgaal are there to completely cleanse HG from Xamar and MJs are there to assist them while stealing from the HG and taking the loot to Puntland as well - the naive Marexaan PM had the wrong objectives for the wrong sport. This is not a government, its a match, and Cabdiweli was chosen to play for his clan and he's going to play damn good. Again if reer Gedo are to blame anyone, they should blame themselves for picking a weak player to play a tough sport. They had a chance to score and they missed. I and the whole world warned them that this was not a government and that they should get their shit and get out, Farmaajo squandered in the league of at least $100 million that could've done a lot for reer Gedo, the biggest missed opportunity imaginable - they should fire him.

Somali Clans are fiercely independent, clans just carve out their own territory and fight to defend it. Galmudug is almost exclusively inhabited by Sacad Clan also Ximin iyo Xeeb is inhabited by members of one clan only. If Ogaden/Marexaan cannot come to an agreement Jubbaland project would just be a pipe dream.
