Reasons to wear HIGH HEELS IS HARAM?

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh

I would like to share this information with you. The reasoning behind WEARING HIGH HEELS IS HARAM. Because the opinion is that wearing high heels is not permissible because it exposes women to the risk of falling, and we are commanded in sharee’ah to avoid danger in a general sense, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and do not throw yourselves into destruction”
[al-Baqarah 2:195]

It also makes women look taller than they really are and makes their posteriors appear more prominent, and this is a kind of deception and showing the adornments which the believing woman is forbidden to show,
as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer palms of hands or one eye or dress like veil, gloves, headcover, apron), and to draw their veils all over Juyoobihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband’s fathers, or their sons, or their husband’s sons, or their brothers or their brother’s sons, or their sister’s sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam)”

Moreover, it also makes a woman lean forward (maa’ilah ila al-amaam), so there is the fear that the warning issued to those women who walk with an enticing gait (al-maa’ilaat al-mumilaat) may apply to her too [in the hadeeth which says that such women will never even smell the fragrance of Paradise from afar]. It also harms the back, as has been proven medically. The heels also make a sound which attracts the attention of men and is a temptation to them. We ask Allaah to keep us all safe and sound.

first verse and do not kill yourselves= people who wear high heels are not suicide bombers or people who want to commit suicide.
they just wear high heels because of they wanna look little pit longer than they are in realty.

agains wearing high heels does not mean throwing yoursleves to desturction, i never saw women who distruct her live for only wearing high heels.

nowadays people abuse and wrongly translate the quran. acuudu bilaahi

this 2 verses from holy quran is better suited to people who commit Suicide. like suicide bombing. like someone blowing himself among student and teachers like in hoteel shaamow. or someone blowing hes car in markets killing 98 people like one in baladweyne both was behind al shabaab.

I see what you mean but I was merely adding another brothers work to the issue. But what about the reason behind wearing high heels it is to get attention and to be seen my men so increases temptation. Is this not haram?

suddenly people who wear high heels do not wear because they are suicidal. as i said this holy quranic verse is much better suited suicide bombers like al shabaab or other khawaariji groups who practise suicide as weapon.

It has nothing to do with me personally actually my loving wife doesn’t wear high heels and they have been banned from the house so I have no feeling for them. This is just something I want to show my Muslim sisters so they know the reasoning behind high heels and how it can be haram and wrong so need to think why do they really wear them.

This reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He was of the firm opinion that women's shoes are so uncomfortable because women don't get a chance to "break them in" before they go out so his solution was that they should wear their new heels when doing their chores in the house. He got a huge gleam in his eye about "just wear it when doing vacuuming or cooking or...". Sounds logical but I was just thinking PERVERT

Another misunderstanding. I have already relayed the information to my wife and the subject is finished. Now I am sharing the information to the wider Ummah that is all so everyone can read it and think about it it doesn't have anything to do with anything else

I showed my wife this proof I told her what I believe and that was enough I wasn’t demanding as I let her speak and talk about it then the decision was made and was final.

Dont get me wrong walaal.. I know high heels in Islam is not permissible *I've known that from a young age actually*... But its just the way you made yourself come across.. By using the term 'Banned', it sounds like you banned it from your wife against her will.. Which in my eyes is seen as 'controlling'.. Educating ones spouse in terms of deen is highly admirable, but the final decision should lay on the one being educated.. If she doesn't lesson marka keep educating her and if she still doesn't listen marka use different methods to keep educating her.. But forcing someone to do what you 'believe in' by 'banning' them from it is crazy .. And erm quite frankly I dont believe in that and if someone tried doing that to me, regardless of whether it was the truth or not I would stick to my guns just to annoy them and show them they aint the boss of me *just saying*..
