THE MEANINING OF BANADIR

Banadir, the region in southern somalia that includes the capital Muqadisho. The meaning of the word Banadir is 'the 'Children of DIR' in Arabic. (e.g. BANIADAM meaning the children of Adam). The word originally was pronounced 'BANI DIR' but turn into BANADIR as the word got butchered because it was had to say BANIDIR in the Somali tangue. Here when said the Children of DIR( BANIDIR OR BANADIR) it is understood that it was the original name for the Soomaali people in the horn of africa.

banaadir is an arabic word..a plural for bandar which means a town or city original it meant a sea port if am not mistaken on the last part..take that shytt to been.com sxb :lol:
