Somali Should Leave The Arab League

Post by mody21 »

we joined the league for economic reason and haven't reaped any rewards, I also read this one article talking about the discrimination of somalia on the arab league link below. I think its about time we parted ways.

It was a good political move in the 70s at the time as Somalia immediately made allies from the gulf states.
The Emarati regularly donate to Somalia; and have done especially when the famine occured, They also donate financially and materially when it comes to basic needs such as hospitals, schools. Secondly Somalis have been treated relatively well when it comes to taking in refugees (saudi arabia, UAE, Syria), i wouldnt want this treatment to be lost as it only works to our good.
Somalis are also culturally and geographically close to the Arab people, we may not be culturally Arab but we are not far off.
I dont see a need for Somalia to leave the Arab league, sure most Arab countries havent put their stakes in Somalia as they should have, but that doesnt mean Somalia should begrudge and politically lash out by leaving the arab league. In most parameters it will benefit, politicall, financially, treatment, relations.
Its good to be intelligent about these sort of things, also considering the very hostile neighbours Somalia has - in addition the political situation Somalis are in all - around we need as many friends as we can make.
Arab league.

The arab league is pretty useless anyway, I wish the Zionist State would bomb the shidh out of them in their next annual meeting.

No , we're better off as arabized africans , believe me .
That's another fallacy , " we didn't join for economic reasons" as if begging was something to be proud of . We were invited to join by Gamal Cabdulnaasir and we took that opportunity .

No, any traitor against the nations of the Holy Arab League should have their Somali citizenship and passport privileges revoked.

Somalia gains nothing from leaving the Arab league. Arab league loses nothing from Somalia leaving.

Somalia is a collapsed state, we're a burden to the world more than anything else

There's no room for emotions in politics. As a brother, the Arab has somewhat neglected us. Indeed they could have done more, if they claim to be our brothers. But as a friend, the Arab has done its fair share in helping us out and we must be thankful.
Arab league loses nothing from Somalia leaving.
BS.

It will be a political blow and a loss of potential opportunities for the Arab League if Somalia leaves the AL. Believe me, the Arabs would not be happy with Somalia leaving and moreover, they would feel incredibly insulted.

One of the best things Siad Barre has done was accept the invitation without fuss. It has helped an already poverty stricken country with zero history in global affairs.

Are you projecting out in the future and saying they maybe losing out politically in the future? Cause right now, the only thing they have to lose is a headache of a country. But I would love to hear what they would be losing out, try not to be vague

A Muslim should never question a unity amongst Arabs and Muslims. We, Somalis, should look inward and stop seeing issues in our brothers and sisters in Islam in the Arab and Muslim world. Long Live Arabs and Muslims.

Look the best thing we can do right now is to work our tribal differences the most honest way we can do it , and go on with the rebuilding of our society so that people can take us as a blueprint instead of the example for all this bad stuff that has befallen us and will other arabs too . { I would personally would love a solemn ceremony at the Kacba , where anybody trangressing the new agreement will be cursed for ever :lol: }

They do have something to lose. The suez canal is important and the egyptians could use the somali support in her battle for the nile. But in order to nutilize our strategic location we need good governance
