Is Afewerki dead?

Post by Jaidi »

Apparently he hasn't been seen in public since late March and there are now rumors that he died in Doha.

It's rumors ciculating his void in the publics eyes, I've heard he's being hospitalized in Qatar for kidney issues. I wouldn't be surprised if this rumor is true, dude had a heavy drinking problem.

I'm inclined to believe it as well, no way the guy is out of the public eye for that long unless something is wrong.

Their govt is denying it and blaming Americans but they could easily show him if he's fine.

I checked my FB this morning to find out majority of my Eritrean friends despise Afewerki for reasons I have yet to understand. We can go head rule out him being alive until further notice. Some of the Ethiopian News websites have confirmed his death spite of being rivals, If this turns out to be true this will sorely effect his people, his son Abraham is said to supposedly be next in command.

Afwerki has been a bad president on domestic and economic issues, he also established a dictatorship after independence when most Eritreans wanted and fought for democracy.

^ indeed.

I hope the lion of the horn is well and healthy, he has protected Eritrea from selling itself the IMF and American empire. His death would be a big blow to the region and the few remaining free nations.

Get well soon lion of the horn

James would 4.5 tribal formula works in Europe?
I don`t think 4.5 would work in post tribal society where people are very in individualistic

Well imposing democracy on tribal societies is illogical; democracy is very polarising concept in tribal society
2007–2008 Kenyan election crisis shows us why democracy in tribal society is an oxymoron, look no further then the voting pattern of the Kenyans and how divided they became along ethnic lines

What? That's not democracy. It was a Republican council system where every man had his say but a few actually "ruled". Similar to Republic era Rome where they elected two Consuls each year from an assembly of peers. The people didn't vote or have any say in who lead them, also the term wasn't for a year or 4 years but for life - unless that particular sultan/ugaas/garaad etc. proved to be inept.
