Defeating ISIS in Syria

USA is going to bomb ISIS in Iraq. Iran has their proxy government in Baghdad and Iranian Revolutionary Guard are embedded in Shia militias.

Sunni Arab states are along with Israel complicit in the suffering of Palestinians.

Getting a nuclear deal done by this Fall with the USA and Western powers.

Cooperating with Russia on an oil deal as Russia side steps Western sanctions. In return, they get that solidified support from Moscow.

Iranians know how to navigate geo-politics. The Arabs don't know anything. It's sad that Somalis are even worse.

They are winning in Syria.

The only thing ISIS has is the influx of man power. They are not a threat to Assad and his Iranian allies on the ground because ISIS cannot create a coalition of the willing. They can't work with other groups because they are on the fringe. ISIS tries to absorb them, and all other factions are deathly afraid of them.

Qasem Soleimani and his elite Iranian brigades are running the show on the ground. There are more of these fighters entering Syria than he can kill them, hence the stalemateS that have occurred. But Assad will win the war, its only a matter of time. Especially once ISIS flees Iraq after US air strikes and armed Kurds.

I think you've a mix-up. It was the Nusra front and other rebels who are/were fighting Shia elements (Alawi, Hezbollah, Iran, Iraq) for the past few years.
