Is religion everything?

Religion is cool it can give one a sense of belongingness and security. It's okay to have religion but is it everything ?

I have very little time on this earth I want to spend time reading and traveling; unrestricted consciousness of mind and understanding the world.

Being around somali muslims causes one to stagnate on their journey of life. They want place restrictions on you, pray,pray,pray ,salat,salat,salat .... Surely life is about traveling and Understanding the world you are in and bettering people's lives. Doing shit and not praying about it, Right?

Praying takes 30 mins maximum out of the 1440 minutes available to you in a day. Enlighten us on your travels or what miraculous understanding of the world you've come to since you stopped praying?

I highly doubt you do anything meaningful on a day-to-day basis. You're just a lazy cunt who can't be bothered with prayer and you want us to make you feel better about your choice.

30mins is actually very long (unless sunnah and duca are included), usually 15 mins is sufficient. Other than that u r bang on

sxb one can spend his/her time in reading, understanding & traveling around the world as much as they want and be still in the fold of Islam. All these without restricted consciousness of mind. Islam is all about learning, seeing the world in different angles for the purpose of recognizing the Ayaat of Allah. Islam also encourages people to think and observe the infinite signs of Allah around them. So, if you have what it takes to embark on such a magnificent journey, go ahead. Plus, one can still pray while traveling the furthest edge of the globe. Reading and traveling won't prevent anyone to keep their Islamic duties (i.e fasting & Salah).
