SL agricultural project (Upper Maroodijeh)
Funded by SL Development Fund - SDF
Worth watching and seeing what they want to achieve over an area of 120km sq.
They will construct 12,000 semi-circle bunds, 415km of soil bunds designed to retain water and soil.

Its a welfare system for particular clans. You can dress it up as SL development but reality is most of these farms are owned by exclusive sub clans.
SL projects are 90% loope sided towards western clans. There are huge farmable land in Beer, Oodweyne, Sheekh and Ceerigaabo why only help western farmers?

Anything that improves the lives of people, east or west, is a good thing in my book.

Most of these funds are won by saacad muse most corrupt shit ever. I remember we applied and had a feasible project for a great agricultural area in the eastern region. And we were in the shortlist of 50 out of 1200 . And last minute we didn't get it. Don't call it Somaliland fund . sacad muuse building their region under that corrupt program. I wish other somalilanders would call them out. Alxamdulliah my project worked out without A handout. 70% of the landmass is in the east and 5% of projects go there.

How does a district get almost as much funding as Sool and Sanaag combined

Its very strange indeed , isn't Gebilay part of Maroodi Jeex? when you add Maroodi Jeex and Saaxil you can basically see that almost 70% of the projects go there and ofcourse its no secret the majority of this region is basically the heart of Habar Awal land.SuldaanMaplesyrup wrote: Fri Mar 24, 2017 2:15 am![]()

Another point is how can Saaxil have more farms then sool, sanaag and awdal combined. Mind you this is their official pie chart, oni reality the situation is even worst and much more lopsided towards this region.

Their own pie charts support my observation.Futurist wrote: Fri Mar 24, 2017 12:44 amThis is why SL hasnt developed in 25 yearsX.Playa wrote: Thu Mar 23, 2017 11:32 pm Its a welfare system for particular clans. Re: SL agricultural project (Upper Maroodijeh)
I can understand if Sanaag and Togdheer wanted more share of the pie but Sool? Are you guys serious?
These MF are busy derailing everything we set to achieve including SDF. You have no idea how hard they lobbied it against.
I am glad not a dime goes to them. Let them perish and what they rallied against back fire on them.
KUDOS to SDF.

I'm a business-minded guy. I am all about maximising returns for our shareholders (Landers) in this company called Somaliland Limited.Retail heavyweight Woolworths is abandoning its multi-billion dollar foray into the Australian home improvement market following years of losses, putting 7000 jobs at risk.
The company is looking to either sell or wind up its struggling home improvement arm, which includes the Masters home improvement and Home Timber Hardware chains.

I believe Sool is pulling the value of our equity down and there is no point pouring a litre of water in the Sahara. Sure I understand for some brothers it has sentimental value but speaking about gains, it's minimal unless we discover oil bigger than Texas

It's time to think like business people and abandon under performing projects.
Will you buy shares in Sanaag Company or Sool sole trader with limited resources, no skilled labor, no stability, no access to open markets (ocean)?

Caynaba moving to las qori? Do you think that is region is as small as waqooy galbeed province. Caynaba is no where near las qori.
