interesting, the parliament voted for 1p1v when the president and prime minister where at dhuusamareeb. i always knew it was the parliament that was pushing for an extension, kheyre was against it and farmaajo to me just wants to leave a legacy behind i.e the first president since the 1960's to hold a democratic vote.

The upcoming federal elections in Somalia will only be credible and legitimate if such elections are indirect with limited suffrage. Anyone who wants OPOV wants to secure a parliamentary seat or the presidency through rigging since it is easier to rig a direct election and therefore reelection is easier to get via OPOV (if they commit fraud)
