FERNANDO ALONSO---To Michael Ital
Hi, Michael. Finally I met Fernando Alonso in Jerez while he was testing both his old car R-25 renewed and his new Renault 26. Nice guy, very cool and smart. We had a small fine talk. He sounds he'll be the winner this year too. And the cars... oh my god, what cars!!!!
McLaren has changed the colours and the cars are now orange, and BMW are now completly white... And we have new team: Il Toro Rosso...
I really had a good time those days at Jerez.

Hola Amigo. ¿cómo es usted? That sounds super cool! Did he enlighten you as to why the switch in 2007 ?? And will Renault still be in F1 in 2007??
As for McClaren, from what i've read, the orange is strictly for testing.
My Dear AMAT, Fernando Alonso is an F1 driver, and the current F1 Champion. He's from Spain.

Michael: Our talk was this way:
Fernando: "Hey, man, I know Granada. Fantastic city. I was there last year for training a couple of days. Fantastic people and nice girls".
Me:"Yeah, I knew when you were in Granada. Did you like the Centro de Alto Rendimiento Deportivo (something like a centre for the training of super-sportists)".
F: "Yeah. It's great. I'll come back there this year. If you're there, we could meet and have some coffee someday".
Me: "Of course. Absolutely. What about the new car?"
F: "I haven't tested it really hard yet. But it sounds nice and it's very comfortable to drive. Fisico says that it goes really fine. I love it. Give your phone to my manager and we will be in touch when I'm back in AndalusÃÂa. I would like to visit some good places in Granada, so I could phone you".
Me: "Count with that. I love your car, man. Sounds great. Someday I'll write a song with that sound".
F: "That would be great. If you need help with the sound, don't doubt on calling me. I'll make it to sound really wild".
Me: "Sure, great".
F: "Did you follow the championship last year?".
Me: "Of course. Actually, I taped most of the races. I usually watch them as though they were movies. Fantastic in Japan, man. I've got still on my mind when you passed Schummy in that curve at that speed, 320 kms/h, my god".
F: "That was a good one! I liked it too when I did in the finish line (it is said like this in English?) Unfortunately, our strategy was not very good. I was passing everyone in the race and everyone was passing me in the pit-lane. The team was wrong someway".
M: "Completly agree with that... You and Kimi were the fastest ones"
Fernando's manager: "Fernando, we have to go".
Fernando: "Ok, ok. Well, it's been a pleasure. See you in Granada".
Me: "See you there. Good luck with the new car".
F: "Thanks, bye"

About Renault in 2007, the gossip here is that Renault won't be running, so that could be the reason Fernando decided to join McLaren. Kimi, surely, will go to Ferrari and Schummy will say goodbye to the races. Actually, he could do it in the next spring, without even ending this year from what I heard in Jerez. The thing now is what going to happen with Pedro MartÃÂnez de la Rosa, who is a fantastic driver, now testing driver in McLaren. He could go to Ferrari to, with Kimi, or become second pilot in McLaren. Both he and Fernando are close friends. Montoya is an ? right now and Felipe Massa, I think he won't do anything important in Ferrari this year. Fisico is another ?... Let's see what happens...

I've also read the Renault has accomplished all it's goals in F1. AS has Flavio. But for Pedro, he's good, but I don't see him accomplishing any more than he already has. I'll wait for the F2006 unveiling before I form an opinion on Ferrari. That was a cool interview though. Sounds like an ammicable bloke.
¿Have you seen the Ferrari 248? Looks fantastic. Schummy seems to have a place in the race again...

BBC NEWS. 1/26/2006
Ferrari to test Rossi with Schumi
Ferrari will test MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi alongside Michael Schumacher in Valencia (Spain) next week.
The five-time MotoGP title-winner has tested three times for the Formula One team but is set to share the track with other drivers for the first time.
Rossi, 26, is under contract with the Yamaha MotoGP team but is tipped for a switch to Formula One in 2007.
The Italian has agreed to test regularly for Ferrari this season to discover if he is up to the task.
Rossi will drive the F2004 car in Valencia and will share the circuit with Honda, McLaren, Williams, BMW and Toyota.
Schumacher's Ferrari contract runs out at the end of 2006 and the 37-year-old has still to decide whether to continue or retire.
Ferrari hired Felipe Massa to replace Rubens Barrichello as their second driver for next season but his contract also expires at the end of 2006.
Rossi is Italy's highest-paid sportsman and a link-up with Ferrari would be a match made in marketing heaven.
Britain's John Surtees is the only man to have won world championships on two wheels and four, taking the Formula One crown with Ferrari in 1964.

Looks like. But that 1.4 Alonso gained in the pits won him the race. And the point Michael elaborated on later, that the lost laps during qualy left him with the added weight of extra fuel, contributed to some lower lap times during the race. Driver of the day award though has to go to Kimi. GREAT job.
Yeah, Schumy complained about the lost oil in the classifications, but he couldn't do anything to 'scare' Fernando in the -18 lap. Fernando is a cold blood driver and he doesn't get scared by anything. Kimi made a great race, but I think the MP of this year is a little worse than the McLaren of last year: Juan Pablo Montoya was a clear favourite and he ended 5th.
My bets this year go with Nico Rosberg. What a pilot! He had to go to the pit-lane in the first lap and he ended 7th. He's the new Fernando Alonso. Being a rokkie and being this your first F1 race is something great.
I knew that Rosberg would do something when he reached F1. I saw him in Montmeló last year in the GP2 and he was fantastic. Kovalainen, Scott Speed and Nico Rosberg were absolutely brilliant. It's sad that Scott Speed has a poor car, because he could be a great pilot. Let's see what happens when he's in another F1 team.
Go Nico, go!
Fernando is a master!
Many non-Spanish people asked what Fernando did on his car when he won, what kind of movements were those ones. He was pretending he was a bullfighter just one second before he's putting the 'banderillas' on the bull (like 'arrows' on the bull's back). Probably, when he wins the championship, he will move as a bullfighter killing the bull.

The boy did it again. From 7th, and with the car completly full of oil (mistake?????, no. Now Fisico is the prima donna of Renault) he reached second. He's proving that he can do anything even in the most strange circumstances. My bets still go for the championship. Fernando is gonna win. Let's look with a lot of attention to Nico Rosberg. Next year he will be probably in McLaren, Renault or Ferrari...
Correction here: When asked about his dancing style in Bahrein, Alonso some kind suggested that he was moving like a bullfighter. Well, someone asked him: "Did you move like a bullfighter?", he smiled and said: "I'll tell at the end of the season", but finally he told the true: He was moving like Jim Carrey in front of the mirror in 'How the Grinch stole Christmas', a movie that he saw recently with some friends at home. While watching the movie, some of his friends told him: 'You won't dare to move like him if you win in Bahrein, will you?', and Fernando replied: 'Why not?', so he did it.
He'll win in Australia. Mowhawk, you shouldn't miss it. A F1 race is a huge show.
