The Reason why Ogaaden support Hawiye courts.
Greater Somalia.
The Hawiye.fake.courts have deluded my people and others for the failed Greater Somalia policy. Though Somalia is still reeling from the self-destructive civil war of the last 16 years, the Fake Wadaads promised that they will fight for the freedom of Ogaadeeniya as was vehemently pronounced by the extremist Awees. This move invites Ethiopia and calls for their wrath on Somalia that is hardly standing on its feet.
What do you guys think? Since Ogaadeen is one of the largest clans of Somalia, will their support embolden the Hawiye and speed up their possible victories over Baydhabo and Galkacyo??

Aren't you happy Basra, now that Ramadan is over. You can have you 17 meals a day?
Congrads!

No it has nothing to with an innate ability to avoid deceptions and machinations of those who need to exploit our manpower and money. However, over the long years of occupation, marginalization, as was studied and researched, can have a deeper effect on a large number of the segments of Somalis in Ogaden, including Isaaq. They can't rationally calculate the benefits and costs of their actions. The same reasons why Isaaq would do anything to get recognition to free themselves from the shackles of Darood dominance in Somali politics. They hate to see themselves next to Daarood in the bigger umbrella.
This whole struggle of competition over our destiny holds no water and the more it makes our people heated up and confused with one another.

What an ignorant. Ogaadeens are Somali and they live in Somalia. They did not support the Islamic Courts because Courts will liberate Somali Galbeed, but they supported because it is the right thing to do since they suffer at the hands of Hiiraale and Moorgan. Moreover, they supported Courts because they feel that their country is shattered by a prolonged civil war and warlords. If Courts are also willing to support Somali Galbeed once they seize the power, I guess it will be a bonus and a successful mission that Somalis have never achieved. Waar waxan yaanaga qabto ee qabiilka caabuda.

Your question is typically honest and straightforward; caught between the natural yearning of any Somali support for your people outside the `Republic' and your natural distrust of Hawiye power. Clearly you see it as a double-edged sword.
You are right to see it that way. The Wadaads are honest about their hatred for Ethiopia. The fact they are Hawiye has nothing to do with that. But neither has your cause. They hate Ethiopia because it supports their `enemies' and it is at its core a Christian nation.
The ideal situation for our people in Ogaden is a strong, modern, united, free and healthy Somalia fighting politically for the rights of Somalis in Ogaden. Wadaads of any clan or creed just do not and cannot provide that. Siyad's united Somalia did, very briefly and we almost won. But he was not smart enough to make the right political calculations on the international scene. Have you heard of the famous Mogadishu Letter?
What should Ogadens do now? Stand outside our morass. Play the oppressed little brother that they are. Organise conciliation meetings wherever they can. Reach out to Somalilanders and Puntlanders and wadaads and the Government. Whatever they do they should never take sides here. Because when the chit hits the fan as it did in somaliland, their cause will be among the first casualties. Just my opinion.

Here is my two-cents
I think ogaden support of the courts have contributed to the courts overall strength-i mean in terms of number, popularity, and support. before the ogadens got involved, the courts were miniscule and puny, a enitity that roamed the districts of south mogadishu. A quick ideological understanding between the court and ogaden, and in broader terms the absame community, have propeled them to powerful heights.
The lack of clear-cut, and persistent support from the ogadens to the badoia regime has been a key problem, a problem that contributes to that regimes handicaped status. simply ogadens dont seem to click with that regime.
as for the courts attacking badoia and galgacyo, i think they will go it alone. and i mean ALONE. no ogaden would be foolish to go with that policy.
