Somali Food.

Post by Sweet_Ladyee »

Salaam all... rose

Today I cooked Baasto&suqa'ar---Hmmm. It was soo delicious I even had to deliver some to my neigbours. Shocked

I try my best to begin my day with a nice breaky preferably Laxoox---- but that's if i'm lucky, or the next best thing-toast or cereal, porridge made of millet/cornmeal...etc.
Midday/late afternoon--- is probably the largest meal and consists of either baasto or bariis with either chicken or lamb, served with a spicy/herby sauce.I love to use lots of spices! My evening meal is very light and might include beans or a salad with bread or some shaah.
TIP---------If you're NOT allergic to garlic ensure you add some to the tomato sauce along with kamsare-otherwise it will taste really plain and bland!

what your favourite dish?
