Who came out a winner?
For 17 years, Somalis were killing each other on the basis of clan ....... I have to add repeatedly, but so far, I failed to get what clan is the biggest camel fukker who came out a winner and vanquished all other clans. Shouldn't this skirmishes be over with by now and serve as a litmus paper for future clan feuds?
Why can't they learn from that? Why can't they realize that, no clan is superior and can cleanse another ethnically or wipe them off the face of the earth, or yoke them?
Are the ppl in Somalia clinically insane?

Winners In Hawiye- Habar Gidir
Winners In Darood-Majerten, Marehan.
But the terrorists among these elements shall be dealt with soon. Kismayo is next for the Marehan group.

Sir Lug
u r thinking like a boy. The question should not be who is the winner but WHO is smarter?? And the answer should be Isaaqs. They have established a successeful Somaliland, and right now it is prospering in a staggering frequency. Hhhmmmm?

Before Siad Barre we only live Gedo and Caabudwaaq. Now we will live from Kismaayo to Luuq, 1000 Km. We have nothing to regret.
And we talk care of the people we rule.
6.91 As noted in the OCHA Minorities Study of August 2002, though recent Marehan settlers still have effective control of the islands, Bajuni can work for the Marehan as paid labourers. This is an improvement on the period when General Morgan’s forces controlled Kismayo and the islands, when the Bajuni were treated by the occupying Somali clans as little more than slave labour. The position of the Bajuni is more one of denial of economic access by Somali clans than outright abuse. [31b] (p4)
Our position in the second biggest city in Somalia.
The Marehan owned most of the land and properties in the city.
It seems like the chain reaction of this flesh-eating disease called Qabyaalad has along way to go. A simple look around the general forum here will tell u that there ain't no hope for the future. They might tell u that its all for the jokes but it ain't. It runs deep in their hearts and they'll do whatever it take to nurture their obsession even it comes to reading qabiil books written by white folks.
So the answer to ur question Lugooyo is no, our ppl will never see the big picture. They'll never see the distruction, they agony and the suffering that has taken place in the name of Clan.[img][/img]

Re: Who came out a winner?

How ironic that Siyaad Baare was a Marexaan and the president of Somalia for so long, and no one really knew who Marexaans were, let alone who they married.

Today i hear marexaan here and there in somalinet, and can't really figure out why?

Basra,
I know who is smarter but I am a "boy" and inadvertently focused on the battleground and the winning factors.
Gatspy,
I like when your philosopher side comes out. Actually, my point was, why sacrifice more of your kin when you know the goal you are persuing is unattainable? They don't have to do it for other clans (I am not asking them to be that nice), but for their own clan's wellbeing and survival, it's a simple logic

Luugoyo:
Ur reasoning is based on a flawed assumption:
That Qabiil leaders work for the best interest of their qabiil ahead of their own.
