Depends on the organization. Some places pay 100%, others 75% or others simply give you a lump sum of say $5,000 per year.
The best ones are the one that pay 100% for all of your courses, have on site classes, give you several hours off from work to attend class/study and give you a salary bump for each degree you complete.

SDM,
So performance is what determines how much is paid I assume? Isn't tuition rembursement standard these days?
A/Wahab,
I assume that some companies will on purpose not accomodate employees with days off so they underperform and they don't have to end up paying anything?

Murax,
Not intentionally. After all it would not be productive to them. My lil sister works for a great organization that provides the benefits I spoke of. I am very jealous of her. As soon as she gets her masters, its an automatic 15% bump in pay.
I have another friend of mine who makes an extra 5% for each level of certification he gets in his training program. His salary went up by 20K as he met each level of certification.

Murax & SDM,
Do your organization's both have caps on tuition reimbursement ?
I know that at some Universities, as an employee all you have to pay is the registration fee for the class which can be as low as $40 per course. Its a great deal !

Maxumo man, keep it up. Do it for Gedo
A/Wahab,
I'm not sure as I didn't even inquire about it. I wanted to kind of figure out basic things about tuition reimbursement and how it works.

Re: Has Anybody here Gotten a Masters...
Murax,
A majority of places require you pay the cost upfront, take the class, pass and then they pay. Others don't care if you pass, and pay once you give them a receipt.
Still if u got a $5,000 cap, that is less than 2 grad courses per year. So it will take years to complete your masters.
