Windows 7: Reviews, Experiences, Comments

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

Okay, anyone here tried it ? Is it worth the upgrade from VISTA ? Or just much adoo about nothing.

I hate VISTA and regret not waiting for Windows 7. VISTA is bloatware that consumes too much system resources and operates very very slow. I have reinstalled VISTA 6 times in one year alone.

Therefore, I have decided never to buy another computer system with a MicroSoft OS.

Am I overreacting ?

I'm running 7 bro, and have been for couple of months. Its going to be much better than Vista for sure, but it is NOT yet. Its still has issues with some application and devices but it ain't a mammoth like Vista so it doesn't hog ur system resources.

Gatspy,

So its not worth the $40 upgrade ? Hmm... how good is the searching/indexing ? Performance stability ? Driver support ?

Did MS offer you a special offer as an evaluator ?

Bro if u dislike Vista that much then gotta wait for a bit before u upgrade. I will be worth the $40 upgrade but just not yet. Its very stable performance wise, indexing is pretty much what we've seen on Vista. Drivers support is also as good as Vista, which is actually pretty good to be honest. Thats one thing i liked about Vista, its ability to search the web for the best driver for ur devices.

No they haven't offered me anything dude, maybe cause i really don't evaluate anything for them and I was never going to purchase anything from them either

Gatspy,

Cool. So on another point ? What is the best AV out there in your opinion ? Best antispyware ? I am running Avast on one machine and it goes bonkers visiting Somali sites which are infested with trojans.

I am quite content with Linuxmint on the CPU at home.

I like Kespersky and NOD32, they're both really good even tho they're both a royal pain to find a crack for. But I have used Avast in the past and that seems to work well bro.

So u ditched Ubuntu eh? I went back to Suse myself. Hows the Linuxmint?

I think you can only install one windows OS with Bootcamp. I haven't used it before I just set it up and left it cause I'm using a parallel software. With Bootcamp you would need to reboot the computer to switch to Windows.

Gatspy,

LinuxMint is Debian and based off Ubuntu but better packaged and with all the necessary codecs out of the box. I may take a stab at SUSE.

Wastegal,

I am less than 25 years away from my pension  Inshallah, when I collect, I will marry a young filly your age.

Shaamboo,

McAfee sucks saxiib. It takes a piss.

Executive,

Apple is sweet but very expensive.
