My verdict on Cawramale.
After speaking with three elders and scanning the internet, my verdict is Cawramale is a minority clan that has zero to do with Darod. From non-Somali sources to Somali sources the Cawramale are a minority clan in Juboyinka that is fluidly termed under Hawiye like Shiiqaal, Gaaljeel and the rest of the fluidly termed "Gugundhabe".
The only place I have seen referencing Warsangeli and Cawramale are Dahar and Las Qoray websites and some "Makhir" contributors on Somalinet and Somalilife.
The case is officially closed.
p.s. The Cawramale were Caydiid's staunchest allies in the battle of Araare in which fleeing Harti Darood were massacred on the Araare bridge to Kismaayo. It is the same battle that has a video record of Cabdi Qaybdiid ordering the deaths of two Majeerteen boys. I don't know how history was changed between 1991 to now to make these guys Darood let alone the Harti whose blood they are directly responsible for.
From now on, I consider Highland to be a Hawiye. For those of you who object, he is already ahead of me because "Gen.Aideed" is him.

Re: My verdict on Cawramale.
p.s.s. They are so small and insignificant they do not even have a single parliamentary seat in the TFG parliament that even has Eyle in it. If some of the Warsangeli think they are getting bigger and prestigious by being connected to this group no matter the odds or the shame then they have got to be really desperate no offense.

Re: My verdict on Cawramale.

After consulting several Boon-Elders kulahaa....
Their territories expand from Lower Juba to Bay and Bakool.
By the Mareexan kid: "The only place I have seen referencing Warsangeli and Cawramale are Dahar and Las Qoray websites and some "Makhir" contributors on Somalinet and Somalilife

Check my thread "Beelwaynta Cawramale.
As of the MPs, they have two seats from the Warsangeli MPs from the Government of Shariif.
They had previously declined 5 MPs under the Digil & Mirifle coalition, making the case that their MPs should directly go to #s alloted for the Warsangeli.
Look, it's damn silly and waste of time to argue with the likes of you who has such a deep seated animosity.
I'll have to post that UNHCR report in case the bumpkins fall for your tricky defamation and insults.
Ps. Warsangeli don't need to get bigger. They already make 85% of Sanag region. They occupy the most populated zone of Bari region. They are blessed

"Somalia: Information on the Awramale subclan of the Darood Warsangeli and its treatment by the Marehan.
According to a Syracuse University professor of public administration with academic interests in Somali affairs, the Awramale are a subclan of the Darod (20 Feb. 1995). Although Awramale trace their roots to northern Somalia, they are currently concentrated in southern Somalia, Kismayo and the Lower Jubba (ibid.). According to the professor, with the exception of the Marehan, the other Darod subclans are the principal allies of the Awramale. These allies include the Majerteen, Dulbahante and Warsangali (ibid.).
On the other hand, the Awramale's enemies have constantly changed according to the clans and the militias controlling southern Somalia (ibid.). For instance, the Awramale and the other Darood subclans do not perceive the Marehan as allies (ibid.). The other Darod subclans attribute this hostile relationship with the Marehan to Siad Barre and the suffering he brought upon non-Marehan Somalis during his administration.
The Syracuse University professor added that, for 145 years, the Awramale have inhabited an area in southern Somalia considered prime land in terms of its agricultural potential and existing infrastructure. As a result, this prime land offers the potential for creating further conflict among the clans, following the United Nations' "pull-out from Somalia in March 1995" (ibid.).
A representative of Somali Immigrant Aid in Toronto corroborated the information provided by the Syracuse University professor concerning the allies of the Awramale (20 Feb. 1995). In the words of the representative, "other Daroods perceive the Marehan as traitors." This response was prepared after researching publicly accessible information currently available to the DIRB within time constraints. References Somali Immigrant Aid, Toronto. 20 February 1995. Telephone interview with representative. Professor of political science with academic interests in Somalia, Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY. 20 February 1995. Telephone interview.

GOOD DAY, Bon-Marehan.

Re: My verdict on Cawramale.
I just notice something that Refugee paper is from 1995.
I found an article from one of your own tribal sites that shows the Cawramale Ugaas being part of the 2006 protest supporting Barre Hiiraale after the ICU captured Kismaayo.

Barre Garwene ayaa intaa ku daray in ay taageersan yihiin maamulkii hore ee dooxada jubba iaga oo sheegay in ay ku qanacsanaayeen habdhismeedkii maamulkii hore.

Re: My verdict on Cawramale.
the cawramale aren't noble - just like all somali clans, they're the lowest of lowest.
there isn't a single noble somali clan - from marehan to cawramale - far from it. all somali fufu clans are primitive and useless neanderthals.

I don't believe in nobility/non-nobility stuff. However there are minorities and majorities.Somali-Star wrote:the cawramale aren't noble - just like all somali clans, they're the lowest of lowest.

Re: My verdict on Cawramale.
The Luo (also called Jaluo and Joluo) are an ethnic group in Kenya, eastern Uganda, and northern Tanzania. They are part of a larger group of ethnolinguistically related Luo peoples who inhabit an area including southern Sudan, northern and eastern Uganda, western Kenya, and northern Tanzania.
The Luo are the third largest ethnic group (13%) in Kenya, after the Kikuyu (22%) and the Luhya (14%). The Luo and the Kikuyu inherited the bulk of political power in the first years following Kenya's independence in 1963. The Luo population in Kenya was estimated to be 3,185,000 in 1994 .The Tanzanian Luo population was estimated at 280,000 in 2001. The main Luo livelihood is fishing. Outside Luoland, the Luo work in eastern Africa as tenant fishermen
Anybody want to claim this prosperous ethnic group? 3.4 million strong.
