It is evident things in the south are about to take a turn of events. Thus far Al-shabab have attacked static posts of the AU forces and claimed victory while alunching attacks from residential location. Al-shabab have drawn greater attention by addmission of the attacked which occured in Kampala further to that addmission there have been no attempts to refute the claim and as such in silence accepted this responsibility for the death of countless innocent non combatants. The Au Manadate has altered allowing a tactical change which will turn the static Au troops into an offensively engaged force with the intention of erradicating all al-shabab elements from the south. This engagement will cause unpredictable levels of lifes loss as it will require a block by block and house to house engagement. The children are carrying weapons the women are armed. They are willing to commit suicide to deliver heavy losses on the AU troops and their TFG forces.

This situation and it's predictable occurance is the wish of the Al-shabab on thier own people by sheer acceptance of responsibility for the kampala acts. No doubt they want more troops to arrive, instead of negotiating with their muslim brothers in the ~TFG or reconciling with thier enemies the ASWJ fleet. This defies all known logical aproach to improve the lifes of one's people.

Kenya has closed it's borders, Ethiopia will do the same the only avenue for escape once the fighting begins lies to the north of the country. Mr Atam who has setup his own franchise of the Shabab movement by enlisting youths from local madarasa and mosques. Mr atams franchise of shabab has had it's first victory against the Corrupt government of Puntland which has loss all credability in the eyes of the local population specially in it's handling of the Pirate-profit trade, people-smuggling trade, it's neglect of Sool's al-shabab infiltration, it turned a blind eye on Mr Atam for years to smuggle weapons into southern somalia into the hands of al-shabab and ultimately puntland adminsteration's siding with ethiopia when there was a confrontation between the Sool al-shabab wing named SSC and ethiopian troops in the buuhoodle town.

Abdullahi yusuf the former president of puntland state within a republic entity is exiled in Yemen where he has tirelessly spent every waking moment in rendering the current puntland state Governer Mr Faroole an incompentent man who is without integrity or values for his brothers in the Harti coalition of puntland. The people themselves are tired of this one man politics where only The Majeerteen are ever allowed to have a status. No other coalition member can ever dream of the top jobs in the punland statelet, Dhulbahante who makeup 35% of the population will never be allowed to be equals, Warsangeli who makeup 15% of puntland, Dhidhiishe 9%, Dir 20%, Minorities also will never have an opportunity to be equals in their own statelet. Conflicts have been brewing over the last 12 years and seem to have come to head now.

July 2010 Galkacayo Islamic leaders have made their voice load and clear they are not willing to stand and watch the ethiopian puppet adminsteration to further corrupt the country following the recent expulsion of over 1000 somalis from southern somalia. If puntland is part of somali republic why would the adminsteration expel their own citizens in a clear ethnic cleansing processes.

Mr Atam is the first of many who have taken up arms to express their disinterest in the politics of puntland and their contant negative action withregards to regional peace. Even though puntland has supplied the arms MrAtam currently possess he has chosen to turn these weapons againts the people that supplied them to him and affiliated himself with al-shabab as a franchisee. Mr atam has stretch his hand in friendship to al-shabab in the name of islam and to express his undivided loyalty to shabab's cause of dominating the whole world starting with Africa. Even though Al-shabab gained from the media attention they have chosen to denouce Mr atam as a member of their terror movement. This is a grave error on the part of al-shabab and they have practicaly amputated the hand that would have offered them their final escape route out of the path of oncoming pack of African Rhinos charging towards them.

It would not be surprising to find Al-shabab either regret such a decison or to make great attempts to regain Mratams trust and loyalty once again and this they will when they are forced to swollow their pride and make for the puntland Bora tora mountains in Galgala where Osama Bin laden and other al-qaida members have found refuge when they escaped to the horn of africa.

Will AU and ethiopia allow free access to puntland or will they pre-empt this norther migration and take immediate action to send in troops to Puntland to safeguard the security of the entire region... that is the million dollar question which the good people of the world would like to know Before Ramadaan starts and the locals are all fasting and too weak to offer any resistance against an al-shabab invasion of puntland.

SSC leaders and supporters met several times before they announced their armed terror group. Meetings in Kenya and Meetings in Moqadishu with the leaderships of al-shabab and also leadership of ASWJ. Now you can call them what you want but we shall learn soon enough when the suicide bombings begin in your home town.

It's not clear this stage since the so called "SSC" doesn't govern anything. However, they do display the charachteristics of a typical somali tribal group. Mind you, the usage of shariah doesn't necassarily mean one is alshab.

Cirwaaq, you are more stupider than i thought. If you mean SSC as a clan, which you clearly have a cuqdad against; yes there are some ppl who support al shabab. Yet, This is the same for all Somali clans, including isaaq, majerten, etc. It's like SL saying SL is pro alshab because of godane. There are some self proclaimed SSC elders in muqdisho who support both groups at the same time....but they are not part of the ssc rebels and their set up. The SSC movement you are describing even sent one it's members to the istanbul conference. They support sheikh shariff and do not support alshab. All they want is a tribal/federal admin in sool,. Theirs is not a religious movement, like Atam's.....Stop telling tales, you are a grown man.
