Like we didn't know it.

Most Hutu were supporting Sharif Dameer's so called mujahidin then when they were fight against Abdullah Yusuf, but now they don't like the so called mujahidin (Alshabaab).

I have this theory that since the foreign troops in Somali now are Hutu and not Ethiopians the Somali Hutu think they can relate more to their kind than the Ethiopians.

Cirwaaq there is an insinuation in your words that you would be willing to lie to make it in politics?

Is there any truth in these claims? What is your opinion of politics? do you think its a just and moral cause or do you believe it will make you sleazy and corrupt?

Modern politics is incompatible with the dictates of a priest or a sheik in other words a man of god. Politics has developed a level of sophisticated and intelectualised criminal aptitude that goes totally against the teaching of any faith.

Once upon a time there was a global power struggle between ideal-democratism and ideal-communism. The same battle today exits between ideal-secularists and ideal-spiritualists(fundamentalists). Like the categories prior they are merely ideal aspiration with intent on dominion until such time as it is more profitable to have a new form of divide among men that creates a similar ideal-states of "The haves" and "The in needs" where the "Haves" set the price of that ideal-state which they sell to those that have been convinced of it's need.

Everything is about the control of the masses be it politics, be it social laws, be it the application of faith. Indubitably control of each and every individual. As such there will forever be "controllers" and "controlled". Controllers are faced with an ever more educated population that are well informed and able to question the intention, direction and value of the controllers efforts. This increased level of the controlled being engaged in the affairs of a social group creates disorder and ineffective or inefficient control mechanism.

The controllers faced with an ever more aware population cannot merely rely on honesty, peace, prosperity and good will to maintain control of the population. Therefore if the existence of social order and the preservation of the ideal-state of containment of the population requires dishonesty, misinformation, war and ever higher level of manipulation of the population to keep them under control, such traits are not without merit so as to maintain social cohesion and retain control in the hands of those chosen as controllers.

Cirwaaq, interesting analysis.

Would you not agree that politics throughout history has always been the same? The only thing that changes is time and place. More advanced (not in the classical sense but rather economical) societies only excel at even great forms of manipulation - e.g Britain - 'Corruption' - replaced by scandal in the recent expanses scandal- so as to take away any comparison with a 'real' corrupt leaders. Also, the increase in the new art form of Spinand the manipulation of the media by savvy consultants and spin doctors like Alastair Campbell or Karl Rove in America.

Faith and politics in my opinion cannot be separated! They are one and the same especially in an Islamic context. So as politics develops higher levels of sophistication, what will become of faith? Will faith have to also develop new tactful ways of Spinning principles of faith and conviction to conform with politics?

Some of the many mind depleted and political illiterates of the former Somalia Koonfuria have accused the good Sheikh Sharif of abandoning his political values because he has changed his Khaki army wear to the suit of a Statesman or because of his increased interaction with the world? Isn't Sheikh Sharif merely adopting new ways of reconfiguring faith in a way that is compatible with politics of the day.

Oh by the way call me Marcas, Smith is for formal occassions. My friends call me Marcas
