SourceXabashi Mother gives birth in airport toilet, strangles the baby, dumps its corpse in a bin... then catches flight out
A woman gave birth in an airport toilet before strangling the newborn baby and dumping its tiny corpse in a rubbish bin.
The mother - believed to be Ethiopian and in her thirties - caught a flight before the infant's body was discovered by a cleaner at Dubai International Airport.
She was identified using security camera footage and is being hunted by police.
The woman allegedly severed the baby boy's umbilical cord with her bare hands and strangled him with a cloth before dumping him.
The newborn baby was discovered still alive in a rubbish bin in a women's toilet at Dubai International Airport
The infant was discovered when a woman passenger informed one of the airport's cleaners about a pool of blood in the bathroom.
Traces of blood led to the bin where the baby was found, soaked in blood, tied up with his umbilical cord in a tightly wrapped plastic bag.
The boy was still gasping for breath but a rescue team and volunteers could not revive him.
'At around 3.35am I went to the toilet to clean up the blood around a toilet bowl,' the cleaner told the Khaleej Times newspaper.
'After that I decided to empty the waste bin which was covered with paper rolls.
'When I lifted it I found it to be a little heavier, so I got curious and started removing the tissue papers.
'I was stunned to see a baby all blue on the face and gasping for breath.'
It is unclear whether the woman was a UAE resident, tourist or passenger in transit.
A security source said it appeared the woman had strangled the infant, whose body was undergoing further tests.
'Most likely the woman wanted to get rid of the baby as it was a child outside wedlock,' said the source. 'It seems that the woman had intended to leave the UAE before the delivery but was faced with a different reality in the airport.'
Having a sexual relationship or a child outside wedlock are criminal offences in the UAE that carry sentences of up to three years in prison.
Many unmarried women who become pregnant choose either to leave the country or abandon the youngster.
A total of 17 children were abandoned in the first eight months of 2008, according to the most recent statistics available from Dubai's Ministry of Social Affairs.
It is not known how many newborns are killed or die after being abandoned.

Walahi that is f-king sad..how can you strangle your own child?? Don't bloody have unsafe sex if you don't want children...how dumb can you get?? Especially if the laws of the country mean that you can be imprisoned for it... That's worse than abortion..

Who am I? Woman dumped on doorstep 71 years ago makes appeal
sourceWho am I? Woman dumped on doorstep 71 years ago makes appeal to discover her identity
Pat Fitzgerald revisits the doorway at Cardiff's Royal Hotel where she was abandoned 71 years ago
A woman abandoned on a hotel doorstep as a baby 71 years ago has made a heartbreaking appeal: 'Please help me find out who I am.'
Pat Fitzgerald was just three months old when she was dumped in a plush hotel doorway just after the start of World War II.
She has spent a lifetime not knowing the identity of her parents - and if she has any brothers and sisters.
She returned to the hotel yesterday in a desperate bid to solve the mystery of who she really is.
Pat said: 'I've waited years to find out who I am. The world has changed a lot - and I hope someone, somewhere now will give me the answer.
'I know it's a long shot after all this time. But I have to try.
'Someone may have been keeping the secret for all these years - but now is the time to come into the open.'
Pat was found wrapped in blankets on the steps of the Royal Hotel in Cardiff's city centre in December, 1939.
She then spent months in hospital before being adopted by a loving family. But it wasn't until Pat was 27 that she discovered the truth about how she was found.
The retired BT clerk said: 'I would guess my mother was a young woman whose circumstances must have been absolutely desperate to abandon me in the middle of winter.
Abandoned: Pat pictured as a baby in an appeal for her mother to come forward after she was left in the hotel doorway
'She must have been at the end of her tether. But at least she wrapped me up warmly and made sure she left me in a place where I would be found quite quickly.'
The Royal Hotel in Cardiff: Pat Fitzgerald was just three months old when she was dumped in the doorway
Pat was adopted by steelworker Peter Ross and his wife Edith and spent a happy childhood with them at their home.
Today she has four children and six grandchildren of her own - but desperately wants to solve the mystery of her 'lost family'.
Divorcee Pat said: 'I have made various appeals over the years including getting the Salvation Army and children's charities involved.
'An anonymous caller claimed she knew a woman who may have been my sister, but it ended up like everything else - a dead end.'
Pat's only connection with her past is the Royal Hotel where staff gave her VIP treatment to mark the anniversary of the night she was found.
Hotel manager Jon Swingler presented her with an engraved plate reading: 'To our Royal lady, given to us on 15th December 1939.'
He said: 'We would love to help this lovely lady solve the mystery of her life.'

what do u expect from a habaashi woman? Habaashi are known to be ruthless and xasiidins.
She was probably raped by an abusive arab employer.
How did she manage giving birth by herself??? Do u know how painful that is?????
If i could ask her a question, that would be it. Strungling the litle bastard rascal is east and understandable.
