Help End the Violence in North Galkacyo

Seriously it really got out of hand last week. The heavy fighting and senseless loss of life was tragic. I couldn't understand why it had to occur.

The sad thing is that Xamud's people are going to be attacked once again by the likes of Somalian Boqors. Fortunately, Galmudug is a neutral party and will host any Puntlander refugees and treat them in our hospital. It is most unfortunate that some have not learned the lessons of the Galkacyo civil wars and still want to fight.

If the violence starts again which it will then I suggest that peacekeepers from Ethiopia be deployed to keep the warring sides apart. It is the only way to save North Galkacyo from further violence.

Puntland is under severe strain: Ras Caseyr conflict, the rise of Ittihad in Baari, the North Galkacyo conflict, night time attacks in Garowe, the occupation of Las Canood etc.

Its time that the people of Puntland sit down and talk things out before its too late.
