for example, we get up the same time for school but she always beats me to the bathroom taking long "showers" every morning making me late for classes few times, she never puts the cap back on the toothpaste after each use and also, this might sound very ignorant of me but I hate the smell of the food she cooks. I believe it's called suu-go or something like that, it's very strong and the smell remains around for a long time even sticking to clothes. So far I have managed to "avoid" confrontation even though I wanted to more than once. Anyways today was the deal breaker, the straw that broke the camels back. We had mutual friends coming over (BTW I have known them longer than her) so naturally I was gonna be their main "host", however my roommate decided to appoint herself as the ambassador of our apartment by hogging them. Again I managed to just calm myself down and just let it go.
I remembered before "our" friends came over I let them know ahead of time that I was gonna make the same meal we enjoyed together many times in the past before my new roommate was even in the scene. As I was leaving to get the grocery, ole and behold who do I see in the kitchen trying to cook "suu-go" again? but this time as the main dish for our guest. Enough was enough I approached her and remind her about the scheduled menu for the night, she felt a little ashamed and volunteered to get the grocery herself, which I agreed without thinking. Shortly after she came back with the right items and I went into cooking mode fixing the recipe when suddenly I heard laughter and commotion in the background which kept getting louder. My new roommate was entertaining them to the point they forgot about me, I was reduced to "slaving" in the kitchen as they were obviously having a good time cracking jokes, laughing, sharing stories with each other. Finally the whole thing starting making sense, my roommate deliberately set me up and I bit the bait, she had absolutely NO PLANS to cook "suu-go" from the beginning as there was no grocery, by volunteering to go to the store she knew I was gonna be in the kitchen and would eventually also clean up their mess.... intentionally erasing me out of the picture. Can you believe this? She had it all planned to the T. I immediately lost it and went completely loco hurling insult as I couldn't contain the anger any longer, the room became quieter than a church mice as everyone was shocked that I finally stood up for myself.
I felt really good and I excused myself by going to my room, I guess she knows how I feel now and I am even thinking about not paying the rent since my name is not on the lease, going back to my parents at the beginning of next month
