SO many shuyuukh today cry SYRIA SYRIA.Ofcourse, we have too help syria,
but ahwat about other muslims who are suffering much worse?
IN central africa, muslims are being eaten and burnt alive so they have to flee.
and in burma where muslims are being burnt alive.
and palestine, where the muslims are under blockade.

I dont get it, its as if everyone goes along with the front page headlines.
When burma was on the headlines, everyone was talking about burma.
when syria was n the front page, everyone was talking about it

Abdi, the issue is not about nationalism or race. Many sheikhs are controlled or influenced by Saudi Arabian government. Their judgements and religious verdicts correlate closely with the interests of the Saudi government. So Iraq is considered as a fitna or religious crisis yet Syria is considered as a holy struggle which all Muslims must support because the Saudi government doesn't like the Syria government.

we care for all muslims equally because, as the the prophet (saw) said, the ummah is one body....and so the hadit goes.

now some might concentrate more on the syrians but that is because the syrians are the most noble people and their land is where islam will once again take firm hold and establish a base from wherein it spreads to the rest of the world. thats why the syrians and their land is so special.
