Is really very disconcerting, especially given that we Somalis are supposedly a 99% muslim people.

So I offer you all a prayer: may Allah swt guard and strenghten your imaan, for truly it is a precious, priceless cherished gift that nourishes and sustains the soul.

Somalis were majority Muslims maybe 40/50 years ago.Not even close to that number any more.And it is also pretty fashionable to reject it these days.

Don't let the people online fool you. We're still a predominantly Muslim group of people. Whether or not we practice our Deen properly is another question, though the same can be said for other communities as well.

Snet is not a true reflection of the Somali population worldwide. In fact Somalis are more religious than any other time in history.

Besides, with Somalis, I doubt 99.99% of their insignificant selves have read or bothered studying about religions in depth. You can just tell they're spewing the same well rehearsed lines some cadaan guy on the inet wrote.

More Somalis practice Islam today than ever before. The overwhelming majority of Somalis (even in the West) reject secularism as well.
