A MAN accused of sexually abusing his three stepdaughters told one of them she was his slave and must do as he said, a Brisbane court has been told.

The 33-year-old taxi driver from Annerley in Brisbane's south has been charged with nine counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16, four counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, three counts of sexual assault and five counts of deprivation of liberty.

He has not entered a plea but is expected to fight the charges.

Today, in the Brisbane Magistrates Court, Magistrate Michael Halliday refused him bail on the strength of the crown case and the seriousness of the allegations.

The court was told the man, a refugee from Somalia, physically and mentally abused his Brisbane girlfriend's three children, who were aged 10, 14 and 18 at onset of the abuse, which allegedly began in 2000 and continued until this year.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Doug Bettany said the man told one of the victims she was his slave and must provide him with food and do as he said.

"This is a horrific case of abuse," Sgt Bettany said.

"He's been brought into a position of trust and unbeknownst to the mother he's been abusing the children.

"One of his victims fell pregnant as a result of the abuse and on the advice of her doctor had the pregnancy terminated."

The court heard the man also told one of the victims before he abused her: "This is your lucky night, you're so lucky to have a man like me, I would even go to hell for you."

In addition to the sexual assaults, the court was told the girls had lifelong scars from physical attacks, to which medical witnesses are expected to testify.

Sgt Bettany said the girls told their mother about the abuse earlier this year and the man retaliated by terrorising the family.

"(The mother) currently lives in fear for her safety," Sgt Bettany said.

"This is not your run-of-the-mill sex offender case."

He will reappear for a committal mention on February 27.

If the mother or the girls are white Aussies, then the man is in big trouble. In any case, the man has screwed up his life. Wasn't it enough he was in a cohabitation relationship with the mother? I guess once you start doing what's haram, you look forward to doing worse things.

This is fukkin sad. If he did really abuse those girls, I hope he rots in prison. One thing I will never ever do in my life is a marry a single mother with daughters. You are looking for trouble if you do such thing wallahi. Also stay the fukk away from gaalo b!tches, they will try to put you away for good if you upset little bit. Recently a somali kid broke up with his white whom he lived with for 2 years. About 2 days after he broke up with her, cops showed at his door and he was taken to jail for rape. Now the motherfukka is doing 6 years in prison, although there was no evidence of rape taking place or any witness to testify against him. Laughing

Arabman, when a white woman accuses you, you can be sure you be spending time in prison. When a somali woman accuses you, there is chance of her fukking things up and incriminating herself. Laughing
