VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says God told him storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year.
Robertson has made the predictions at least four times in the past two weeks on his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network, which he founded. Robertson said the revelations about this year's weather came to him during his annual personal prayer retreat in January.
"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," Robertson said May 8. Wednesday, he added, "there well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."
Robertson has come under intense criticism in recent months for comments suggesting that American agents should assassinate Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for Israel's pullout from the Gaza Strip.

I rather think that Pat Robertson's statements and comments first about assassinating president Hugo Chavez, and now these bizarre claims of divine wisdom are nothing, but publicity stunts designed to boost viewing ratings of his evangelical 700 Club show.
What better ways for an influential evangelist to grab the headlines then by making outrageous claims such as “hey folks, I’m getting a message in my ear piece, and it’s not the producer either- it’s God! He says...what's that you say God? A huge storm is coming our way ?â€Â

Grant,
there is no doubt that events will accur like they do every year, mainly earthquake, tsunami, hurricanes, tarnados..ext, but this guy contradicted himself so many times, like, the world will end in the year "2000", but nothing happened.
and he still has Many followers, who take everything he says word by word.

It's called having faith sir- something which you evidently don't know much about. I hate these non-believing folks; they're always asking for scientfic evidence. They're always calling us to use logic and reason. Science says otherwise they say. Well to hell with you and your logic sir!
All I need is my faith and that's all.
So long as I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and my savoir, then why should I care what science says? After all isn't science just an accumulation of facts concerning the world we live in? So what good are facts to me when I have the holy Bible? If the Bible says that the world is going to end next Halloween, then so be it. Faith takes precedent over facts sir.
Bloody non-believers!
