There is no reason why we shouldn't work together. Forget just about Kismaayo, why would an Ogadeni not be free to invest and live in Baardheere and Beled-Xaawo and a Mareexaan not in Dhoobley or Afmadoow? I think once we get to a State and families and people start looking out for their own humanly individual interest, the "group think" will not matter. The group/tribe only matters when that is the only protection people have. A functioning state that respect people and brings rights down to the "individual" will make the whole group/tribal think obsolete.

Imagine the Jubba River, Somalia's most important river, runs right down through all regions. Why can't there be a state that works on the land the area having access to the river and build markets that can sustain internal production and consumption? Imagine that we have Kismaayo, one of Somalia's most prized and important ports...why can there be a state that regulates the port and provides free access to all commercial enterprise in the State? Imagine that we have principal border towns like Dollow, Beled-Xaawo, Ceel-waaq, Dhoobley, etc...why can't there be a state that has power to protect and regulate trade in the state that provides free access to all enterprise in the region? Imagine that we have massive livestock wealth...why can't there be a state that supports internal animal consumption and regulates markets that partake in international export? Imagine that we have massive natural and mineral resources, why can't there be a state that supports regulation and exploitation of it for the benefit of the whole State?

The sky is the limit for a "Jubbaland State". It is sad that all these people fighting for it do not realize once an equitable state is born...it will be a unitary administration and all others equal in front of the law with the same opportunities as anyone else in the region making all these clan sacrifices obsolete.

There is no reason why these two clans can't work with themselves and with others in the region for the benefit of the whole State.
