FAH,
I know that your generation won't send $ 1 back.
I tell all the folks back in Somalia that they are operating on limited time because Gen. 2 are not going to send a $ to an unknown land

FAH, it all depends on the family. Some families will continue to send money because they will send their kids back so they can form bonds with their families back home while others will leave it to the school system, friends and neighbors to raise their kids and teach them values.
FAH, let us take you for example. Have you ever sent money back home to Ayeeyo or Awoowe if they are alive? Have you ever visited Somalia? I don't mean to get personal and I apologize in advance if you find this offensive but didn't you write her once that your mom always says that she never plans to return? How can you as her son ever see Somalia as a place to return to and invest in? At the end of the day it depends on the family the person comes from. Even for the newly arrived Somalis, there are some that never send back a penny to their relatives back home when they are swimming in money. For that reason, I don't think the numbers will change at all.
I read somewhere that the diaspora community of the Dominican Republic send back the most money from the U.S of all other communities and you want to know the craziest part? Most Dominicans are second or third generation.

FAH, for the record, Somalia copes well without a government compared to other countries would. Can you imagine London or New York without law and order?
