Alshabaab's Intended Targets At the Graduation Ceremony!

Post by Koronto77 »

In Somalia's 20 year civil war, no other group has ever carried out suicide bombings, Alshabaab were the first to introduce it to Somalia. No mooryaan whether he is a TFG soldier or a hired hand has the determination to blow himself up, knowing he is going to meet punishment in the hereafter. Soomaalida waa fulay by nature and mooryaan are even more fulay than the average Abdi. Only someone who was brainwashed in to believing guaranteed Jannah is capable of doing it. Alshabaab are masterminds at taking advantage of disturbed youth and this is something they've previously done in Bosaso, Hargeisa and even Mogadishu.

But this one sealed it for me. Yesterday, Alshabaab's spokesman Sheikh Ali Rage in a very frustrated tone said:
....some government officials were seen leaving the hotel before the bomb exploded, leading to the belief "that they were behind the killing."
http://www.upi.com/Top_News/Internation ... 259936065/

How did Rage know about this sensitive news? Not even the staff of the hotel knew other ministers, possibly even Sh. Shariif were also expected at the graduation ceremony. But as is tradition with Somalia, misinformation & unreliable intelligence runs rampant, this unfortunately led to the catastrophe that took place. Alshabaab informants fed their commanders wrong information. The suicide bomber waited and waited, he sat for at least a good 40 mins as was seen on the camera, but when no one showed up, he did what he had to do (in his deluded mind).

The 3 ministers who died and the scores of civilians were all bystanders, the intended target never showed and those who came, left immediately before the ceremony started. If things had gone as planned, Alshabaab would've called it a successful mission and claimed "the end justifies the means." They would've then misquoted a few of Sh. Albaani's quotes, thrown in a couple of wrongly interpreted verses and to top it all would've accused anyone who questioned their actions a "Murtad" and a "Baadil."

But because things ended badly for them, what do they do? They shift the blame to others. What mooryaan in his right mind would sacrifice himself to kill a few insignificant men? Not even Aideed or Abdullahi Yusuf could convince any of their mooryaan to sacrifice themselves for their cause, we are to believe Sh. Shariif can? This only allienates Alshabaab from the rest of the population. They've sunk an all time low and will only continue to sink even further. Whether they realize it or not, they have very little time left.

Mashallah.Good analysis. The president and the prime minister were expected to attend the graduation ceremony but fortunately that didnt happen as planned.Listen to Ali Rages Radio interview where he says "I dont think the somali people will believe but we were not behind it" Who is he Going to fool? Any ways they have claimed the responsibility of Killing more than 70 people at one place and sadly though the main target was just one person.

a ruthless misguided zeolots.

Addow:

What makes this so unfortunate is all the wasted talent. The med students who perished were to start work at Madina hospital the following day. In a country with very few doctors & health care professionals, this is a major set-back. Then you have the loss of people like Waayeel who was among the first to start schools in Xamar after the war. He was the man who started Imaam Shaafici school in Xamar, he was also among the original founders of Mogadishu University. Professor Addow who never took part in any war and who was always a highly educated and positive individual. And Qamar Adan who was one of Somalia's earliest nurses and worked for Somalia's former health ministry.

Also, Somalia's leading research doctor was killed. He was the man who first discovered HIV in Somalia in '91. He has a clinic and a lab in Xamar. Professor Dufle barely survived. He is the man who founded Banadir University. Who is going to replace all these people? If all of Alshabaab came together, they would not be able to replace any of them. These people are a cancer within society.

Only a fool will believe that shabaab was not behind the attack. If i was alshabaab and saw the anger of somali people,i would deny it aswell.
Anyways you made a good point. Their main target left the scene before explosion.
Many people have left scene before a explosion occurs ,this is normal:

Abdinasir Moalim Dualeh, a teacher who left the scene of the attack on Thursday minutes before the blast, still cannot come to terms with the violence that devastated his student community.

"I'm still in complete shock and I cannot explain what happened on Thursday. I can say this attack was the worst we've ever had. It didn't just kill doctors and teachers, they are killing the future," he said.

Now will alshabaab claim: wait,it was not abdiqeybdiid but abdinasir moalim dualeh because he left before explosion so he must be behind it. Only they are behind the attack, xassan aweys is kursidoon and his followers knows that so they will not blow themselves up for him.
But shabaab is brainwashing people by telling them if you kill murtaddiin, you will have S..X with 72 virgins in paradise.

Shariff was supposed to attend? What evidence are you basing this assumption on? I mean who said he was going to attend.

Hassan Dahir Aweys's statement on the bomb was strange;
"This was the work of enemies who want to destroy Somali intelligentsia and create a hostile atmosphere in which the Somalis cannot reconcile. This is not the work of Somali nationals but it was an enemy operation, maybe assisted by elements who are serving the outsiders that want to occupy Somalia."
Is he talking about al-Shabab or the TFG? Sounds like a subtle condemnation of al-Shabab :|

People in this forum who say Shabaab did not do it have not told us how the bomber who carried out the evil thing had his intestines splattered all over.
Coemeon was it a smart bomb that just scattered the perpertrators body and targeted the abdomen area? Isnt the abdomen area the place where the belt was tied?

However, the walls and floor of the video we saw do not match the walls and floor of the pictures of the bomber.
