American TV channel confuses South America for South Africa
An American news network has made the first blunder of the World Cup by showing a map of South America with World Cup livery and the words 'South Africa' on top.
We’re not sure which is worse, the fact that the graphics department at the Chicago-based WGN TV network think that South Africa is that big (the size of a continent in fact), or that they no-one at the network realised the glaring error.
Big deal. Well, when u r a super power, u dont need to know everything about 'little third world people or countries or sub-continents', however these third world people need to know about u, coz u is all that.
Is this un insult to South Africa or South America? I think it hurts more South America, because after all South Africa is a country and South America is a whole continent that is next to America, so to not even know whether South America is a country or continent is very retarded.
But I don't blame them, because this has been the least talked about or reported about World Cup, at least in America, we are only days away from the World Cup, and there isn't one American media sports that is talking about this big international event, is it because its being held in Africa?
or is it South Africa's poor public relations skills? because after all it's South Africa's responsibility to advertise and invite media to their country just like China's 2008 Olympics was much talked about, and advertised. Because they need toget more America tourism to come to South Africa and watch the game, but instead they can't even get their streets safe, it was just last day that another Somali business man was shot and killed in South Africa, so to hell with the world cup and that hell whole South Africa.
