What should I pack?
So I'm visiting somalia in 2 weeks for like a month with my mom in a place called somaliland. We started to pack and I have a bunch of questions. It would so helpful if someone answered my questions. As far as my items, is it safe to say that I shouldn't bring anything expensive? I mean I wouldn't want people stealing my shit. Like I have a bunch of hair products/equipment, clothes, makeup, accessories, etc...? Also if I bring all my cute shoes with me, will they get dirty? Or stolen. I don't want to leave my stuff behind. Also I straighten my hair so is there plug outlets? What about cell phones? Ipods? Will I get connection? Can I bring my laptop with me? Most Importantly, is there a dress code. Like obviously no one's going to walk around in a bikini but if I wear like jeans and I don't cover my hair, is that a big deal? Off topic; Will there teenagers there that speak English? I mean no offense or anything I'd just rather not speak to anyone who can't speak English. My somali is horrible. I mean I can understand a little but when I try to speak it, no one knows what I'm saying. Also what do people do for fun there. Is there any beaches/movie theaters/amusement parks? Obviously I know there's like a war there and stuff but I went to Kenya last summer with my mom and I was so surprised because actually Africa is not like all poor. It was awesome. I met so many cool people. Also anything else interesting you can tell me would be beyond helpful. Sorry for the massive amounts of questions. Whatever you can answer is much appreciated. Thanks again!
