Property bubble in Somalia??

Post by thegoodshepherd »

How much longer can property prices continue to go up??
Today I had a relative tell me that a single 100m by 100m in the middle of nowhere near Galkacyo is going for $70,000. It is literally a bacad, 3 miles from the city, with no running water or electricity.
I looked all over Somalia and the same thing is going on in every major city. Prices have been been exponentially going up since the early 2000's.

MUQDISHO had biggest property bubbel in the time xasan sheikh was elected. just a villa waxaa lagu kala iibsanaayey 250 000 dollars.. my cousins they refused to sell their home 200 thousends dollars in that time. but today they could not even get 80 000 dollars for the house they refused to sell 250 thousens.. Muqdisho property is still high but they are not at the extrem price they were a year or 2 ago..
