THE IMPORTANCE OF LOSING BUR HAKABA

It is absolutely vital the Wadads lose the battle of Bur Hakaba. And not only because of its strategic place with its commanding hills over the road to Baydhabo and Mogadishu. The importance lies in teaching the Wadaads some humility lest they believe their own propoganda that god is always on their side and wins them village after village. They need to learn that God is on the side with the best Technicals.

Humility teaches one compromise and is the greatest antidote to hubris and arrogance. Bur Hakaba also falls in that category as Kismayo: a Non-Hawiye town which is relatively peaceful as it is. there is no need for Wadaad peace and order here. So the only rationale of them attacking or taking over Bur Hakaba is an ideological or expansionist one and it is vital for national survival that both are resisted.

Afterall Wadaads, while much better than the vicious warlords, are an illigitimate entity who seized power through the barrel of the gun. they need an occassional reminder of this fact. Lets hope they lose in Bur Hakaba.

I agree with you, Galol. But, sadly, I think that people in Somalia are so sick and tired of warlords, civil war, robbery, assaults and misery that anything that comes bringing some peace and order will be welcome, whatever it is the Waadads or the United States of America with Georgy Bush leading the parade...

True that is why I wel;comedcthe wadad takeover of Mogadishu. But the places they are attcking now are not lawless or anarchic: they are relatively stable peaceful regions.

So the only reason Wadaads will attack Bur Hakaba is to spread their ideology through force.

I know that, Galol. It's a show of force by the Waadads. It sounds strange for me, because Somalis, though being muslims, never were fanatical muslims in the sense of forcing women to wear hijab and banning women to swim in the beach. I don't know what will happen, but I don't think Waadads will last very much. Especially, when they decide to ban qhat and other Somali national sports, like fighting for their clans...
