Why I respect the late Jaalle Mohamed Siyad Barre

Post by AwRastaale »

Hutu people and Konfuur in general take notes. We have Barre breaking ceasefires and keeping regional foes apart but today the same people that looked upto Barre keep Wanlawein apart. Talk about trading places.

Legendary Barre breaks ceasefire between Uganda (the now daddy of Ugandisho) and Tanzania.

Anigu Somali ma necbi infact the opposite but I don't approve of the children of niiko and AMISOM. That's not Somali culture nor values.

Today in Wanlawein

Clear case of Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.

Yet he he adamantly tried to hold on to power until the last second instead of compromising with the liberating forces for the sake of the country.

Aishah,

Relax. I never said 'we'. I means me not you, not Rambie, not theYuusuf not fictional Arab father Sh Isaxaaq :)

What you guys respect, like, dislike, immortalise are your own choices.

I don't do things becoz some beel expects such and such, I go with my mind, my thoughts and my values.

You may hate Barre and still see scars but to me he was a good leader that eventually lost direction. We took arms. We answered his challenge and he has been long below six feets underground.

There is no need for hate or same views from 1980s. Move on and set your mind free and don't forever be resentful because those who are also hold it against "their own".

So I wish nothing but AUN to Barre and all the others who had lost their lives over pitty things such as arrogance, shortsighted pride and tribes.

From leadership perspective he did many things right and all Africans know it even his biggest enemies. They still credit him.

I happened to be small percentage of Somalis who don't carry a chip on their shoulders.

I will applaud Barre for the things he did right and learn from his mistakes.

So Hawdian,

You found a pic for Barre reconciling two countries and immediately made thread about how great he was?
Look, the exsaan starts from home, refusing to step down or work with his own people while running around the black continent
playing Mr. peace maker among foreigners they share nothing with him but skin color is not even remotely a trait of a good leader.

If anything, he was a better leader than Aydiid, Mahdi and all the "presidents" coming after him.
Though, he had an advantage they didn't, a real emerging country with a compliant population.

Barre wasn't special as people trying to make him look like. But I guess since warlords screw up everything,
south Somalia would've been better off under him.

horta mid hala ogaado,SNM was nothing more than tuugo/thieves that used
to attack and rob somali military equipment, foods and other stuff because the region was poor, desert and barren, that is why i dont want MOGADISHU people not to associate themselves with hargeysa otherwise we will have the same challanges faced by barre admin.a loose federation where every region contributes to the security, budget and infrastructure,we should discourage full union same with PL.

Siad Barre was a loser, he made many mistakes during his life and he was the main responsible for Somalia tragedies.

He failed to change the history of Somalia in 1977/78. Somalis will never forget his failure against Ethiopia.

Fak afweyne and his faqash cronies can all go to hell for killing innocent people their nothing but evil. I don't support warlords or war criminals one bit. Lets just pray for brighter future insha allah.

AwRastaalow, Why use the late leader to knock another clan?

Aisha

inaadeer wuxuu danbi galay Allihi abuurtay bah maanta la xisaab tamaya

It's unnecessary to keep cursing a dead man, considering as we speak teenage Somali girls are at the mercy of foreign troops right next door. Thats without even getting into the horrors of the past two and half decades.

It will not make you less of a Isaq if you can find it within yourself to say AUN. Its the right and honourable thing to say. As Muslims I mean.
