Somalispot was started because 'Marehan' were too 'free' to express their point of view here. It was part of a long 10 year "grooming" strategy that was 'part' of 'project' that revolved around lobbying for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that became an issue between Uhuru Kenya and Somalia.
The MOU issue birthed Kenya 'Jubbaland' buffer zone, the rise and problematic entrenchment of Ahmed Madoobe, contracts to 'experts' on Somalia for the purposes of information warfare/public relations, and a whole host of further developments from there on including but not limited to forums created digitally, 'think tanks' & other analytical institutions as shadow reinforcers from within, presence on twitter and other by the minute engagement streams for trying to control the narrative, and finally, actually co-opted socio-politico actors whose voices and votes had been bought.
Of course, God had other plans when 1.) he made the Somali people with their sets of contradictions one of them being fierce Republicanism in the face of serious tribal factionalism, 2.) the TPLF lost dominance and control over the 'EPRDF' during the tenure of Desalegn, 3.) Abiy Ahmed came to power in Addis Ababa, and mos especially 4.) when Mohamed Abdillahi Mohamed 'Farmajo' became president of Somalia who came to bear iron resolve in taking the MOU issue to the very end in the ICJ adjudication.
