As far as I know, the oil in Somalia is in Lascaanod- which is part of Puntland- not Somaliland. Somaliland would love to have Lascanod as part of their territory but they WILL NEVER . Smile Smile Smile I say let's let Somaliland be. Who needs them?

Sool, Sanag, Cayn are the reasons Somalia can't let Somaliland go.

Any harsh move by either Somaliland or Puntland will create violence where none exists at the moment.

The only people who want a military solution are either in Bossasso or Hargeisa.

XidigtaJSL,

That's just like me saying "Slanders can cry about independence all they want, it's not going to happen."

That's just a soundbyte, but it doesn't advance the dialouge any.

Who is greater?

Waqooyi Galbeed + Sool/Sanag

OR

Puntland +Sool/Sanaag.

Isn't that where the vote should be?

Waqqoyi Galbeed+Saaxil+Togdheer+Sanaag+Sool=Somaliland

Voting took place in all of Somaliland's provinces with the exception of few tuuloos in Sool. The majority 97% voted in favor of an independent Somaliland. The people have spoken

Somaliland has nothing to do with the Iraqi conflict, the two are world apart, the few angry qabiil-infested residents of Eastern Sool are not going to hinder the progress Somaliland made thus far, they have the choice, live in peace in Somaliland and adhere to the vote of the majority or else they can move out to Bugland or wherever
